The unpleasures of flu!

Who wants the flu?
Not me,,but alas i seem to have fallen prey to the dastardly thing this week.
Heres my diary of the week so far!

Mon ~ Felt ok but tired
Tues~ Headache,aching joints, sore throat bunged up feeling.
Weds ~ WoW it hit me big time, could hardly get out of bed. Unfortunately i had to get up to sort my daughter out and get her to school.
Thurs ~ Daughter wasn't well either so we spent the whole day curled up on the sofa under a duvet. Most of it watching children's tv to keep her occupied in between sleeping. Never realised how mind numbing that can be.
Fri ~ Neither of us still well, so yet another day under the duvet.
Have been virtualy living on sarnies as not got the energy to cook.

Daughter usually sees her dad on Saturday but at 8pm thought she wouldn't be well enough to go,,,so tried to phone him,,hmm phone switched off (typical) doesn't usually answer if i phone anyway. So I sent him a text. Just a short one to say sorry wont be coming as sick,,you know short and sweet. No reply until this morning. Just a curt thanks for letting us know. I dont think he believed me, but thats his perogative. Certainly not going to make ourselves worse by going out in horrendous weather. (its been snowing on and off for the past 2 days) If he was that desperate to see her he could come visit her. Dont think his new wife would appreciate that though.
What is it with absent parents, once they get someone else involoved in their lives their past one seems to out of the window in most cases. This is such a shame as i would love my daughter to spend more time with her dad,,but alas thats something he doesnt want. I'll be patient and bide my time. Daughter will be old enough to work that out soon. Sorry i digress
Today Sat ~ Daughter still in bed at 10.00am. Both of us are still feeling sick but a little better i think. Still got runny nose and headache but dont seem to ache too much. Praise God. We will see as the day progresses.
Probably won't go to church in the morning as i want to be back at work and daughter at school on Monday if at all possible. God willing!!

I want to thank all of my friends for their healing prayers, for the calls and offers of shopping. Where would i be without you guys. Thanks a lot and may God bless you all.
